In this baseball math game you will have fun practicing your knowledge about simplifying fractions. For each home run, you will have the opportunity to answer a math question and earn (or lose) 1000 points. You must get at least 3 homeruns to move to level 2 and at least 5 homeruns to advance to level 3.
In this fun game students will practice reducing fractions to the simplest form. When simplifying fractions, kids also demonstrate their understanding of equivalent fractions. This online activity is a Flash game. It only works on computers and laptops.

This game is based on the following Common Core Math Standard:
CCSS.Math.Content.3.NF.A.3
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
CCSS.Math.Content.3.NF.A.3.a
Understand two fractions as equivalent (equal) if they are the same size, or the same point on a number line.
CCSS.Math.Content.3.NF.A.3.b
Recognize and generate simple equivalent fractions, e.g., 1/2 = 2/4, 4/6 = 2/3. Explain why the fractions are equivalent, e.g., by using a visual fraction model. |
